Now that Autumn is officially here it’s all about keeping warm here at the Moko office.  This month thanks to Aganzi we have this short buttoned cardy worth £35 to give away!! This one size cozy knit is the perfect addition to a winter wardrobe.

Well what a great weekend. We started early on the Thursday  evening of the 22nd with an invitation only champagne and canapé reception featuring a talk by Geoff Bowen, creator of Pebblebed Vineyards which included an account of his experiences on Dragon’s Den!

Canapes were from Bon Gout, drinks by Pebblebed Vineyards and a lovely NZ Sauvignon Blanc called MOKO black from best cellars in Ashburton.

The evening was rounded of with a Cheese ‘cake’ from Kendalls of Earlsdon as shown in photo.

On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th there were all sorts of offers in the Gandy St store. At 10am the bargain of the day was snapped up by Les and Michelle Metcalfe – a teak coffee table reduced from £375 to £10!! Others £10 bargains included a lacquer picture, mirrors and wooden sculptures.

The fliers out on the street brought in lots of new customers.

The 100^th customer of the day won a £50 voucher – well done Alex Mc Cahearly.

The prize draw was a great success with 100s of people entering. Top prize was a £100 gift voucher and there were 2 £10 runners up prizes.

Long may the celebrations continue, lets see what Christmas holds is store for Moko!

The days are getting colder and the leaves are slowly turning. It's time for our September competition and this month we're taking you back to the days of Hornby, Scalextric and Airfix!

Moko celebrates 10 years in Gandy Street!

2011 sees Moko reach the milestone of an amazing 10 years trading in Gandy Street as a major independent.

In that time Moko has built a region wide reputation for stocking an eclectic mix of gifts, home wares, furniture, jewellery and fashion accessories. Many items are sourced overseas personally by directors Nick and Therese Ash, while others are chosen from exclusive UK suppliers. The ever changing selection gives Moko a wonderfully warm and vibrant feel, which is matched by the enthusiasm and knowledge of the staff.

To mark this fantastic achievement Moko is putting on a number of celebratory events.

There will be an invitation only event for local businesses on the evening of Thursday 22nd September.

The weekend of 24th – 25th September sees a number of activities and offers going on in the shop itself to which everyone is welcome.

For a start everything will be 10% off marked price.

On the Saturday between 2pm and 4pm Moko will be offering free image consultancy sessions with Jo Smallbones helping customers pick the perfect colour combinations for their wardrobes according to their skin and hair tone.



Over the two days 10 specially selected products can be found somewhere inside the store and each one will be priced at only £10! This might be a handmade solid wood coffee table or an ornate dressing mirror. The items are yet to be selected but each one is bound to be a bargain.

Tickets will also be handed out around the city on the Saturday and Sunday, all you need to do is fill in your details and take it in to Moko to be entered for the prize draw for £100 gift voucher, with two runners up getting a £10 voucher each.

The 100th customer to make a purchase that weekend will also win a mystery prize.

It’s certain to be great weekend so come along and join in the fun.
